Organic Nanochemistry

Organic Nano chemistry:

Organic Nano chemistry is a branch of chemistry that studies organic reactions involving chemical synthesis of drugs, polymers and natural products which also includes the study of individual organic molecules in the laboratory.

Nano materials:

  • Nano materials are single unit sized , which can be described by the principle of 1 to100 nm of Nano scale or 1 to 10-9 meters.

  • When scientists observed the different variations in materials he gave the Nano as a prefix to the Nano chemistry.

  • Several chemical modifications on nanometer scale structure, approves effects of being size dependent.

Nanoscale material:

  • Nanoscale materials are also known as nanoscopic scale, which is lower bound to the mesoscopic scale for most solids.

  • These usually refer to structures with a length scale applicable to nanotechnology, these materials where at least one relevant length scale, within the range of nanometers ranges from 1-100 nanometers.

  • These materials usually have very different properties from their bulk counterparts, due to the importance of quantum and surface boundary effects.

  • Nanoscale particles are not new in either nature or science.

  • Nanomaterial chemistry and technology is a global open access journal maintaining high standard of scientific excellence and it's editorial board ensures the rapid peer review process and nanomaterial chemistry and technology welcomes all research works on nanoscale materials.

 Green Nano technology:

Green nanotechnology is the study of how nanotechnology can benefit the environment, such as by using less energy during the manufacturing process, the ability to recycle products after use and using eco-friendly materials. The green nanotechnology helpful in the following pages like:

  • Solar cells

  • Nano remediation and water treatment

  • Environmental remediation

  • Water cleaning technology

  • Removing plastics from oceans

  • Air pollution control

Nano coatings:

  • Nano coating can be defined as having either the thickness of the coating in Nano scale or the second phase particles that  are dispersed I'm to the matrix in the Nano size range or coating having Nano sized grains/phases, etc.

  • Nano coating is the sealing of a material at the atomic level through methods such as atomic layer deposition (ALD).

  • The term Nano coatings refers to the coating itself.

  • The s applications of Nano coating that are currently being used are anti corrosive coatings, Waterproof and non-stick coatings, ALD and Nanocoatings, Engineering Nano coatings.

Some applications of Nanochemistry:

  1. The metallic nanoparticles can be used aes very active catalysts..

  2. Chemical sensors from nanoparticles and Nanowires enhance the sensitivity and sensor selectivity.

  3. Nanocoatings and nanocomposites are found useful in making a variety of products such as sports equipment, automobiles and bicycles etc.

  4. Nanotechnology is being applied in the production of synthetic skin and implant surgery.

  5. These are used as a novel UV blocking coatings on glass bottles which protect beverages from being damaged by sunlight.

  6. Nano chemistry is used in making space defence and aeronautical devices.

  7. Nanoparticle substances are incorporated in fabrics to prevent the growth of bacteria.
